Your tiny dancer will get an engaging introduction to dance with energetic music, singing, dance games, and using props like scarves and pom poms. Children have a great time while developing coordination, large motor skills, listening skills, musicality, and learning to follow along with a teacher. Little dancers will burn through tons of energy as we dance- it’s a great workout for grown-ups too!
Due to our COVID-19 protocols, dancers must wear a mask while in the building.

Watch your little dancer take an engaging class all by themselves in our Little Gems Creative Movement program! Little dancers will feel like a real dancer as we begin learning ballet basics. Dancers will love getting to make sounds with their feet as they explore the musical magic of tap dance! Your child will blossom each week with teachers who nurture their development and celebrate their success. Dancers will feel such a sense of achievement as they grow and progress. The look of pride on their face when they say, “I did it!” as they put their feet in 1st position by themselves for the first time is priceless!
*Dancers need to be able to be dropped off for class to join our Little Gems program.
This class prepares dancers for the next level, the Pearl Level, which is part of our Performance Program.

Let your child begin their love of dance
Your dancer will love joining us for in-person programs! They will discover the magic of learning in a positive environment with teachers who nurture their progress and develop their artistic talents. Imagine their excitement when they get to engage in an activity they love while making dance class friends!
Dancers flourish in small, socially distanced classes where they can build strong bonds with their teacher who gives each child individual attention to ensure their success.
We even have a special gift for new dancers when they come to their first class!

The class I want to register for is full – what can I do?
Do you use a curriculum in your classes?
Our Miss Katie is a Certified Teacher in the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum in Pre-Primary through Level 5. This is incorporated into our ballet syllabus and is used in all of our programs.
Can I watch the class?
For Dance With Me, only one adult is allowed per child.
For our independent classes (Little Gems & up), only dancers are allowed into the studio.
Dancers progress at an accelerated pace without the distraction of parents in the waiting area. Students flourish in class where they have the best support to focus and engage with their teacher.
For our independent classes, we do have very special Parent Observation Classes where parents may come into the studio and watch their dancer in class!
Can we join at any time?
Absolutely! The Dance Season runs from August – June, but dancers are welcome to join at any time! Our classes are ongoing, meaning that they continue throughout the season, so there is no “beginning” and the classes don’t “start over” at any point.
Summer Session classes are separate from our Dance Season, so payment is charged for the Summer separately, and is not ongoing from Spring classes and is not ongoing into Fall classes.
The class I want to enroll in is full – what can I do?
First, check out our other classes to see if there is another time that you and your child can join us. Can’t come to another class? Join the wait list! Sometimes families will switch to another class, a student may be moved up to a higher level, or we may be able to create a new class with enough interest. If you are on the list, you will be the next person in line if a spot or new class opens up.
You can register online for the wait list by clicking on the “Waitlist” link next to the class you want to register for. Your card won’t be charged until we can get you into a class.
How do I know if my child is ready for the independent Little Gems class?
If your child has been attending our Dance With Me program, speak with their teacher about whether they are ready for the Little Gems program. The most important thing to us is to provide the most positive and nurturing learning experience for our dancers. This means that we will evaluate each child and make our recommendation on the best fit for them. Not all children will be ready to be in a class by themselves as soon as they are 2.5.
*Students need to be able to be dropped off for class to join our Little Gems program..
If your dancer hasn’t been attending our Dance With Me program, we recommend joining us for a few classes so they can meet the teacher with you in the room, right by their side. This will help build their confidence so they feel ready to try a class by themselves!
*We recommend having little ones try the Little Gems program by taking a couple of introductory classes first to make sure it is the right fit for them. Introductory Package information can be found below.
What does a “Forming” class mean?
A class that is listed as “Forming” means we are waiting until we have the required minimum number of students enrolled to start the class. The minimum is 5 students. This is usually done when a class time is new for us, and we want to make sure to have lots of friends who can join us before we start the class!
Can we try a class before we enroll?
Absolutely! We offer an introductory package so your dancer can experience our classes before you commit to enrolling. We know your dancer will love it here, but intro classes are a great way for dancers, parents, and teachers to come together and find the right class for your child.

Do you have an independent toddler class without parents in the room?
Our Little Gems Program is an independent class for ages 2.5-3 years, but is currently on hiatus. Dance with Me is a great place to start to help dancers get ready for Little Gems when it returns!
If your child is already 3 years old, follows directions well, is able to be dropped off, and is bathroom independent, they may be a good fit for our Pearl Ballet Program. Click the links below to learn more:

Can my child take a class if they don’t meet the age requirement?
If your child will be turning 2 years old soon, they can absolutely join us, but please keep a few things in mind:
-Students must wear a mask while in the building
-To follow social distancing guidelines, dancers need to be able to stay near their grown-up and not run around the room
-Younger dancers may not participate as much as their older classmates – which is totally fine!
If you feel your nearly two-year-old will be a good fit for the class, we would love to have them!
Do you have an independent toddler class without parents in the room?
Due to our COVID protocols, we feel that dancers need to be 3.5 years old in order to thrive in our independent classes. The stricter rules and higher expectations we are required to have during this time has proven tricky for little ones to follow. We don’t feel it is fair to the child to expect them to follow rules they are not developmentally able to follow. We would prefer have them join our Dance with Me Program with an adult until they are ready rather than put them in a class where they are unable to succeed and could potentially have a bad experience.
Our Little Gems Program is an independent class for ages 2.5-3 years, but is currently on hiatus until COVID restrictions ease up. Dance with Me is a great place to start to help dancers get ready for Little Gems when it returns!
If your child is nearly 3.5 years old, follows directions well, is able to be dropped off, and is bathroom independent, contact us to discuss them possibly joining our Pearl Ballet Program.
How many classes per week should we take?
We recommend taking 1-2 classes per week. The more classes your little one comes to, the faster they will learn and progress!
Can my child take a class if they don’t meet the age requirement?
Our curriculum for each level is a year-long program that has been developed specifically for each age group. It is important to keep dancers in classes meant for their age group to keep them challenged without overwhelming them.
If your child is close to the required age, such as within a month or so, contact us and we will discuss further and have your child come in for an introductory class. However, if they are more than a month or so too young for the class, we will recommend an alternative class more appropriate for their age and development.

What should my child wear to class?
Click here to see our Dress Code. We do not require specific colors for each level at this time. While we don’t have a uniform, dancers do need to wear dancewear and the dance shoes outlined in our Dress Code. Wearing dancewear helps dancers feel ready for class and inspires them to try their best. Like other activities, you need to have the right equipment so you can move properly and the teacher can see body placement. This helps prevent bad habits which can potentially lead to injuries. Of course, we are more lenient with little ones, if they want to wear a huge tutu- go for it! We want them to feel special!

What will my dancer experience in their class?
All classes begin with a warm-up to prepare dancer’s bodies for the class and prevent injury. Younger dancers will learn age-appropriate technique in fun and engaging dances and activities which are full of imagination. Older dancers will focus on improving their strength, flexibility, technique, tricks, and of course, learn exciting routines!
In our Ballet classes, we use the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum. The program is designed with a strong emphasis on the stage of a child’s development and the all-around health of the dancer being the highest priority. This curriculum provides quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels, building strength, coordination, and artistry.
